I’ve always heard that if you physically write your goals down you will actually do them! I don’t know who came up with that but it is totally true. At least I think so!
I’m the type of girl that has to have a planner and notebook to even begin to get my life in order. I write tons of to-do list just so I can get the gratification of crossing something off!
But sometimes when you write things down in a book or planner the downside is you close that book, and if you never open it then you can’t see those goals you said you were going to achieve!! #smh.
So to combat this issue, that I like to classify as a #fitnessstruggle, I put together a HUGE motivation calendar! Its hanging up right next to my bed so I don’t miss it in the morning.
On it, I write dwn the workouts i want to do for that day or all month and as i complete them i wipe them off!! And it helps that it lights up! So yah theres that!! lol
Anyway, I thought if your anything like me you’ll want to make one too! so I have a step-by-step picture tutorial so you can stay on top of those fitness goals!! #GOODLUCKBOO
What you’ll need:
- a poster sized frame -I choose this one from Michaels the frame lights up!!! (plus I used a 50% off coupon so I think it came out to about $15.)
- Scrapbook paper sheets – Choose colors and patterns that match your decor and make sure they are a heavy card stock those work best with the glue gun.
- Glue Gun – and glue stick refills
- Dry Erase Markers
Let’s Get Started!
Step 1: Cut the scrapbook paper into small squares (I eyeballed these) you need enough to make at least 4 rows of 7 – so at least 28 squares.
Step 2: Next open the back of the poster frame and remove in price tag labels carefully because your going to use the black side as your background for the calendar. (or you could use the white side if thats what your color scheme calls for.
Step 3: Layout the squares in the order you want and with the glue gun start securing them in place. – make sure to leave a little room at the top for the smaller squares that will show the days of the week.
Step 4: Finally place 7 smaller squares across the top and then put the frame back together, make sure you keep the plastic/or glass from the frame. (thats how you’ll be able to use the dry erase markers).
YOU DID IT!!! Now go hang it up in your home and get MOTIVATED!!!
